This painting features as a demonstration on my video 'Studio Painting with...' and also in an issue of Leisure Painter magazine. I was aiming to convey how wide open this location is. The figure features mostly to give a sense of scale to the rock stack, but also to draw the eye the edge of the composition, again to help reveal how 'broad' the view is.
