Clevedon headland and Salthouse Bay

My third painting of the day and the first that had gone at all well. The day had started in thick mist (not even slightly in the forecast!) and only just lifted by late afternoon, when I began this. I painted from a precarious position, perched up on some jagged rocks. But it had to be done. I can't turn down the best possible composition as I see it, even if it makes the painting very awkward and difficult. A difficult subject too, those rocks, and pretty unfamiliar for me.
