This painting holds a special place for me. It was a bit of a breakthrough, in terms of how I paint my skies. Hard to explain, but the way I build them up, very quickly and always in one wash, was a method of approach that first came together in a way that I was happy with in this painting. This actually features also as the background image on my website. This whole painting was done with the same, medium sized mop brush.
