A few people beginning to make their way to work, but this was from photos taken very early in the morning, when the sun's still low enough to create a warm glow on any clouds. King Street has some very old architecture including almshouses and the Old Vic theatre (on the right, down into the scene), the Llandoger Trow pub (left foreground) and the Old Duke pub, famous for its live music (foreground on the right). The street gets crowded with people on summer evenings. I took a very experimental and free approach with this painting.
