Hope Cove in the 'South Hams' of Devon has many great vantage points along its beaches and cliff front. When I visited I had very cloudy conditions the whole time, so strong shadow was not a feature. It's in that situation that shapes become even more important in making a composition work, and beyond that trying to capture the subtleties of colour and tone that help convey the nature of this type of atmosphere.
